Four day week

In 2022, we made a quiet shift in how we work, trialling a four-day week as part of a broader commitment to well-being, balance, and long-term sustainability. It wasn’t a response to trend but a considered move to support deeper focus and more spacious lives.

By coincidence, our internal trial aligned with a national pilot programme exploring the same approach. The early findings echoed our own experience: productivity held steady, often improving, and the additional time allowed space for rest, reflection, and personal growth.

This kind of shift isn’t without its complexities. A shorter week demands clarity, planning, and thoughtful communication — especially with collaborators working to different schedules.

Today, the four-day week is our standard. From Monday to Thursday, we work with focus and care. On Fridays, the studio closes to create space for learning, movement, family, or simply rest. There is no fixed ideal for how the day should be used. What matters is that it belongs to the team.

Time, we believe, is one of the most meaningful resources a workplace can offer. Making room for well-being doesn’t dilute good work — it enables it.
